Lately I have been feeling very “nesty” and we have been having a lot of fun starting to explore the outside property of our new home.  This is the time of year when trips to the garden center and Home Depot {or local hardware store whenever possible} become a regular part of the weekend.  Fixing settling brick walkways, surveying what plants didn’t survive the winter and picking out new friends to replace them are all part of our Spring ritual.

It seems like all I have been dreaming about recently are outdoor fireplaces and building a screened porch off our bedroom.  I love the outdoors and try to spend as much time as possible outside in the nice weather.  These outdoor spaces allow for relaxed living by creating outdoor rooms to enjoy.  And there is nothing like opening the doors to a screened porch, allowing the summer air to flow in and feeling like you are sleeping outside all while in the comfort of your own bed!

Have a lovely weekend!

I am forever on the lookout for the perfect bag.  But not just any bag… the perfect everyday bag, the perfect clutch, the perfect stachel, the perfect… you get the idea!  Today I am focusing on the perfect carryall tote.

I am always on the go.  Taking kids to activities, shuttling to new client meetings and bouncing back and forth between existing clients.  I work in the studio, I work from home and all of that means I need a bag that can carry it all and still look stylish. {No laptop bags for me!}

After much debate {bordering on obsessive comparisons!} I have narrowed it down to my top 5.  Any of these would be perfect.  It’s just going to come down to committing!  These can also double as a beach tote, travel bag, chic diaper bag or shopper. And while a little pricey, a great bag is always a good investment – especially if you’re looking for an everyday, go-to work horse!

And for a budget friendly option, I really like this Mark & Graham North Personalized Tote for $65.  They have a lot of cute items and I also like their basic Everyday Leather Tote for $199.

As much as I enjoy being away on vacation, there is always something that feels so good about coming home and sleeping in your own bed!  There was a lot of driving and not the best weather toward the end but overall we loved Myrtle Beach!

Do you have any fun weekend plans? Still on vacation? This weekend is going to be spent getting the house back in order and Ken and I might spend some time Saturday doing a little Spring shopping and go for a nice brunch for Easter Sunday.

Happy Passover + Easter!!

Are you doing anything for Spring break?  Our family is road tripping to Myrtle Beach and stopping off to visit Ken’s sister along the way.  There is something about road trips that are so comforting to me and immediately the song Holiday Road starts playing on auto repeat in my head! {Then probably 2 hours in we start thinking, “Why didn’t we fly??”}

I just  picked up this cute hat to keep the sun off my now cancer free face!  And my casual baseball hat of choice at the moment is this one from Billabong.

Every vacation needs to start with a fresh pedicure.  This pretty blue by Essie {part of their fashion playground collection} was my polish pic for this trip.

And this cute tunic dress is perfect to throw on for a stroll along the beach or for shopping in town.

I will definitely be posting some pics from the trip.

Have a great weekend!
